Richard Barton:

• August 19: New teacher's breakfast was an extremely positive event at a time when it may have been needed most.
• September 1: First day of school greetings at NCHS and Ridgely Elementary School.
• Helped the chain crew on the sideline at NCHS

Donna DiGiacomo:

• August 5: visited LMS to meet the new principal and DES.
• August 9: visited FES to meet the new principal. Very impressed!

• August 20 & 21: Summerfest with Leo Club. They raised over $700 selling cotton candy for "Bags of Hope" gifts for children in the hospital.

• August 30: Visited RES & FES to welcome staff back
• August 31: Visited GES, PES, & DES to welcome staff back
• September 1: Visited CCTC, NCHS, GES & LMS on the first day of school.

The members of the Caroline County Board of Education desire to hear the views and have the advice of interested citizens. The public comment session is held at each Board meeting for that purpose.

The following procedures are to be followed:

• Each person addressing the Board will have a five-minute time limit. Once the time limit has been reached, the speaker will be asked to finish their comments. 
• Specific and personal references to students, employees or others associated with the Board of Education will not be permitted. Should someone wish to bring something to the attention of the Superintendent or the Board about a specific person or student, they may do so in writing to the Superintendent or the Board.
•  Rude, slanderous, or threatening remarks or other behavior that is disruptive or interferes with the order of the meeting is not permitted.
•  Individuals may not give their time to others on the list of speakers.

 The Board of Education does not engage in a discussion of the matter being brought to it during public comments. Community members who want a response may submit this request in writing to the Superintendent.

Ms. Lindsey McCormick, Director of Instruction, and Elizabeth Anthony, Director of Special Programs will provide the Board with an update on CCPS Summer Programs for all grade levels. 

Mr. Bill Allen, Supervisor of Pupil Services, will provide the board with an update on first day of school enrollment numbers. 

Mr. Bill Mengel, Director of Operations, will present the Board of Education Capital Projects Update for the FY22.

Ms. Debbie Siachos, Supervisor of Human Resources, will give an update on the SY22 hiring recruiting season.  

Dr. Simmons, Superintendent of Schools and Ms. Robin Cahall, Health Officer for Caroline County will give the board an update on our county health metrics and vaccination status.
